It's amazing how a small town like Waterbury can become so well known, thanks to just two men. When Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield first opened their factory in the town, they never expected streets to become lined with Waterbury apartments, or that people would soon come lumbering in to tour and set up shop in the town. Today the Ben and Jerry's factory may be one of the most visited spots in town, but Waterbury, and the region around it, still has plenty to offer its apartment-ites.
Of course, anyone living in and visiting Waterbury simply has to visit
the Ben and Jerry's factory at least once, but that's not all the city has to offer. The town features plenty of gorgeous parks and wide open spaces to move around in, as well as numerous pools and recreational centers for those wanting to stay active. The town is also home to a plethora of historical hot spots for Waterbury apartment-ites to explore, from old-style houses to famous stopping points. You can also take a trip out to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, or take a walk down Historic Stowe Street and do some shopping, while at the same time marveling at how different, and yet similar, the town is to its early days.
Waterbury may have been made famous by Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, but the town has grown into so much more since then. There's plenty to enjoy for Waterbury apartment-ites of any attitude, temperament or lifestyle, from the youngest to the oldest, from the hippest to the most refined.
